South Carolina Highway Patrol troopers say an Orangeburg, South Carolina man who was speeding in Chatham County died, just after crossing into South Carolina. It happened around 9am near the two mile marker on I-95.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol says Port Wentworth Police clocked 26 year old Prince Anoruo speeding north on the interstate; however, because of the heavy traffic volume, they couldn't stop him. Troopers say once Anoruo made it into South Carolina, he sideswiped another car, hit a camper, then crossed the median into the southbound lanes, hitting a mini-van head-on. The other driver, Mike Taylor from Lakeland, Florida, is in fair condition at a local hospital. The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating.
Rest in Peace.
